About Me
I am a firm believer in massage therapy, not only for athletes but also for anyone suffering from strain, stress or fatigue. Having survived a traumatic neck injury in an automobile accident, I have first hand knowledge of the recovery process. I understand what it takes to rehabilitate. After my accident, my doctors told me that I would not be able to do anything strenuous, like running or snow skiing. It was not until I received professional bodywork that I overcame the pain. My doctors were proved wrong!! In the past four years, I have completed six marathons with a PR of 3:06 at Motorola-Austin Marathon in 2004. I also completed my goal of running the Boston Marathon. I became interested in massage therapy after working with some of the best bodyworkers in Austin, TX. Through my mentors' encouragement to follow my dream of becoming a sports massage therapist, my passion for sports and my education in exercise science, I have developed an excellent understanding of athlete's needs. I graduated from Texas Healing Arts Massage School in Austin and I graduated from Southwest Texas State University in December 2003 with a degree in Exercise Science. I have been trained in Swedish massage, Tuina sports massage, trigger point technique, and deep tissue massage. Credentials
